What is overnight transcription?
Overnight medical-legal transcription means dictation sent at the end of a US working day is transcribed, quality-reviewed and returned for the next morning. Standard turnaround is 24 hours and STAT service is 18 hours, which keeps report deadlines off the evaluator's evening.
How does overnight turnaround actually work?
Files uploaded through the end of the US business day are picked up and typed while the office is closed, pass QA, and are delivered for the following morning. Nothing about your dictation habit has to change — the only difference is when the finished document appears.

What can overnight turnaround not fix?
Audio that cannot be heard. Very poor recordings, heavy background noise or a dropped microphone slow everything down, because unclear passages get flagged for you instead of guessed. A short test file tells us quickly whether your recording setup is working well.
Which tracks run overnight?
General medical-legal and orthopedic/neuro tracks run on 24-hour standard turnaround with an 18-hour STAT option. Psychiatric reports use a 48-hour standard, with STAT available at 18 to 24 hours.
How is file handling secured?
Audio and finished reports are transferred and stored encrypted with an audit trail of every file. Signed NDAs cover the people who handle your dictation, and BAAs are available on request before the first file changes hands. We ask that protected health information is never sent through the public quote form — use the upload instead.
