Why do measurements make orthopedic reports harder to transcribe?

A single dictated line can contain a dozen numbers with laterality attached to each. Flexion, extension, lateral bending and rotation figures, grip strength readings, girth measurements and spinal levels all sound similar on audio and all change the impairment result if transposed.

How is diagnostic study dictation handled?

MRI findings, EMG and NCS results and radiographic interpretation are transcribed as dictated addenda or within the diagnostic review section, with study dates and facility references kept intact for citation.

You dictate as you normally would and send the audio through our encrypted upload. A transcriptionist trained on that report family types the first draft, a separate reviewer performs quality assurance against your template, and the finished document comes back ready for your review and signature.

How is file handling secured?

Audio and finished reports are transferred and stored encrypted with an audit trail of every file. Signed NDAs cover the people who handle your dictation, and BAAs are available on request before the first file changes hands. We ask that protected health information is never sent through the public quote form — use the upload instead.
